It’s coming! The Northeastern Research Computing Team is holding a virtual bootcamp this summer, on June 7-9th. Join us for three days of informative sessions with members of our Research Computing team. No matter your current level of experience using Discovery, we invite you to join us and learn more about how you can use it for your research computing needs.

This program is for anyone affiliated with Northeastern who is interested in learning more about Discovery, whether you are new to using Discovery or a seasoned user who wants to learn more! There are two levels, Beginner and Advanced, designed to help you improve your Discovery experience regardless of your prior knowledge. There will also be vendor presentations during the lunch breaks – both session levels are encouraged to join us! Additionally, there are optional assessments following the program that award a Research Computing Badge.

This bootcamp is a free event, but registration is required to attend. Go to our Training page for the full schedule and registration!

All About Explorer and the New H200 GPUs

The Research Computing (RC) Team is excited to announce the new High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster, “Explorer,” which will supersede the current Discovery Cluster. The Discovery HPC cluster has served the Northeastern University community extremely well over the last several years, and the Explorer Cluster will chart the path of a new journey in research and learning for the Northeastern community — with a new, more efficient operating system (Rocky Linux 9.3) and state-of-the-art GPU resources (NVIDIA H200).
