Explorer for Short-Partition Jobs

May 21, 2025 | Announcements, Explorer, Tech Tips

The Research Computing team is continuing to add more computing resources to the new Explorer Cluster, as we transition away from the Discovery Cluster. If you are planning to use the short-partition for your jobs, we highly encourage you to use our new Explorer cluster for an improved experience. The Explorer cluster currently has many compute nodes available to be used in the short partition.

If you’re ready to get started on Explorer but need more information, the RC Team has written a quick start guide to the Explorer HPC cluster. If you have any other questions, send RC an email, join Office Hours for a quick (10-15 min) chat, schedule a consultation, or submit a ticket using the RC ServiceNow catalog.
